Braemoray

Braemoray is a spacious, well-equipped and very comfortable modernised house with accommodation for 6 guests, set within a deer park in the peaceful and beautiful private grounds of Novar Estate close to the village of Evanton, Ross-shire. Evanton is just 20 minutes by car from Inverness, and is ideally located to explore the Northern Highlands being within an hour of Speyside and the West coast. Braemoray is a superb holiday home, perfect for a family or a group of friends, and is available for rental from 2 days to 2 weeks.

Downstairs the house has a large lounge with open fire, comfortable furnishings and a dining table, and is equipped with a colour TV, Freeview, DVD, and CD Player. Adjoining the lounge is a large kitchen equipped with electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and chest freezer. Downstairs there is also a utility room with washing machine and tumble drier, and a standalone toilet. There are 2 entries to the house, providing plenty of space for storing and drying clothes and fishing tackle. Outside there is a large garden and a south facing patio with garden furniture and BBQ.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms providing accommodation for 6 guests. The master bedroom has 'zip & link' beds providing the option of a double or twin room, and has its own en-suite bathroom. The other bedrooms have 2 single beds each; one has an en-suite shower room, the other has its own private bathroom across the hall.

All bed linen and towels are provided and we stock the house with household essentials and a 'welcome pack' for your arrival. Braemoray is heated by total control electric central heating, and pricing includes electricity and an initial supply of firewood. There are excellent local amenities and shops for groceries. If you would prefer not to cook in the evening, meals are served at the local hotel and pub in the village and there are additional restaurants nearby in Alness, Invergordon and Dingwall. Alternatively, given advance notice, we can arrange for pre-prepared meals to be delivered to Braemoray for part or all of your stay.

The house lies in a peaceful setting surrounded by woods and deer parkland, with its own resident herd of fallow deer, and there is immediate access to walks through the estate forests, inhabited by abundant wildlife including red squirrels, pine martens, roe deer and capercaillie. A private stocked trout lochan located just 200m from the house, frequented by ospreys in summer months, can be fished by prior and separate arrangement.

If fishing's not your only passion, there are a host of other activities and attractions locally including superb golf and wildlife watching. Take a look at what's available locally by visiting our
'Other Activities' page.

In the summer months, Braemoray is generally let to fishing parties, but at other times, we are delighted to welcome non-fishing parties. Braemoray is a fantastic holiday home whatever your preferred activities. Don't just take our word for it, check out what our guests have had to say about Braemoray by visiting our Guest Book page.
